NC meet tomorrow
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has called its central committee meeting on Monday at its party office in Sanepa to discuss the party’s concept on the new constitution. The concept will be presented to the Constitutional Committee (CC) of the CA on Tuesday. The meeting will discuss on the concept paper prepared by the NC’s Constitution Drafting Recommendation Committee headed Chakra Prasad Bastola, said Nepali Congress chief secretary Ram Chandra Pokharel. — HNS
Campus closure
KATHMANDU: The ANNISU-R’s Padma Kanya Multiple Campus unit has announced to shut down the campus for an indefinite period to protest beating up of its cadres, theft and hooliganism in the Pragya Hostel. The union also protested issuance of fake identity cards in FSU election and demanded ouster of hostel warden. The union also threatened to boycott the FSU polls, which have been postponed due to dispute between student unions. — RSS
Nepal-Myanmar ties
KATHMANDU: The newly-appointed Myanmar’s ambassador to Nepal Thet Oo stressed on need to strengthen the relations between Nepal and Myanmar. Speaking at a programme organised by journalists here on Saturday, he said the relations between the two countries should be expanded at the people’s level. — RSS
