Two kill selves

KATHMANDU: A 12-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room on Thursday, police said. The girl has been identified as Nirmala Sarki, daughter of Madhusudan Sarki, of Danchhi VDC-2. A pregnant woman committed suicide at Siddijibi VDC-3 on Thursday. The woman has been identified as Laxmi Poudel, wife of one Surendra Poudel. — HNS

KATHMANDU: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Friday urged the Maoists to free abducted individuals, including a Royal Nepal Army man. Twenty-one-year old RNA man Yubaraj Poudel, who was in mufti, was abducted from Kamaiya, Sarlahi, on July 3. — HNS
