Report submitted to King

Kathmandu:

Lawyers National Campaign Against Untouchability (LANCAU Nepal) submitted copies of study reports on the definition of untouchability to the King on Monday, and proposed directives to uproot the practice. “Saying the definition itself had been a hindrance at uprooting untouchability from society, LANCAU has worked out a clear-cut definition to help the government draft an appropriate definition,” LANCAU executive president RB Bagchand said. — HNS
