India aids Mustang school

KATHMANDU: Shree Mahakaruna Sakyapa Vidyalaya, Lomangthan, one of the oldest monastic schools located at Upper Mustang, has been donated a newly constructed water tank from ambassador of India to Nepal, Rakesh Sood, during his visit to Mustang on Monday. The school also received a grant assistance of NRs. 2.51 crores for the construction of school building, hostel, monks’ quarters and teachers’ quarters in October through the local community. With a view to solve problems of water supply for the school, the Indian government also granted an additional NRs. 10.88 lakhs.
