India gifts seeds
KATHMANDU: The Embassy of India, Kathmandu on Friday handed over 800 kg of vegetable seeds of tomato, radish and onion to Shri DD Baral, member-secretary, National Seeds Board, and the chief of the Seeds Quality Control Centre, Nepal. The support is a part of post-earthquake relief assistance to Nepal, Indian embassy said in a statement today. The total cost of these seeds is approximately Rs.1,6.29 million. The seeds are intended to provide relief and support to the Nepali farming community that suffered destruction of its crops and livestock due to the earthquakes and subsequent landslides, read the statement.
