KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 04

At the invitation of Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande has arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday for a five-day customary visit.

Pande was received by the Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS), Lieutenant General Bal Krishna Karki at the Tribhuvan International Airport, the Nepali Army said in a press statement.

General Pande is scheduled to be conferred upon the rank of an honorary General of the Nepali Army by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on September 05.

The NA said it believes that the exchange of such high-level visit and continuation of tradition helps in strengthening relations between the two militaries and the two countries.
