Indian man held for customs evasion

KATHMANDU: An Indian national has been arrested for allegedly importing 10 tola gold and five mobile phones, evading customs duty.

Tathagata Chakravorty had landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport today via an Air Arabia flight with the call sign G 9-539.

The man had hid gold in his pocket while mobile sets were inside a suitcase, police said.

He was nabbed from the prepaid taxi counter at the TIA.

Police are looking into the case.
