Indra Bhakta Jayanti observed

Indra Bhakta Jayanti was observed today in Indra Bhakta Shrestha’s memory, marking his 93rd birth anniversary at IJ Pioneer Higher Secondary School, Hattiban. Indra Bhakta Shrestha was the pioneer of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

On the occasion, the second edition of Shrestha’s memoir ‘Mero Samjhana’ was released by former and incumbent presidents of the FNCCI and Nepal Chamber of Commerce together.

The Indra Jawahar Support trust had established the ‘Shree Indra Bhakta Scholarship fund’ with a fund of Rs 10 million, which was launched formally today.

The trust will provide full scholarship to MBA students studying in colleges affiliated to Tribhuvan University.

The scholarship will be provided on merit and need basis to two students from new academic session.

“My father established IJ Pioneer Higher Secondary School in 1985 to provide quality education in the country,” said Ravi Bhakta Shrestha, former president of FNCCI and Indra Bhakta Shrestha’s son.

A museum was opened from today that displayed materials used by Indra Bhakta during his lifetime.
