KATHMANDU: Veteran industrialist Lunkaran Das Chaudhary was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday afternoon as per Hindu rituals.

The 94-year-old had breathed his last at Norvic International Hospital yesterday.

The Forbes billionaire Binod Chaudhary, the eldest son, lit the funeral pyre, while his brothers Basanta and Arun stood by him.

Members of the business community and dignitaries took part in the funeral and paid their last tribute to late Chaudhary at Aryaghat.

Before the funeral, Chaudhary's body was kept at his residence, the Saraswati Sadan, Thamel. The funeral procession went through different parts of Kathmandu.
