KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Armed Police Force Durja Kumar Rai conferred insignia of the position of recently promoted Additional Inspectors General (AIGs) Shailendra Khanal and Jeet Bahadur Pun on Sunday.

A meeting of Cabinet on Thursday had decided to promote DIG Khanal and DIG Pun based on their and performance.

Speaking at a special function organised at the APF headquarters in Halchok, the APF chief Rai said the APF has recently embraced a system for group decision through the Principal Staff Committee.

Senior officials of APF including AIGs Krishna Kumar Tamang, Simha Bahadur Shrestha, Prem Kumar Shahi and Prakash Shah were present on the occasion.
