ISTU meet ends inconclusive

LALITPUR: A meeting held on Thursday between the representatives of St Xavier’s School guardian’s council, Guardians’ Association Nepal, Nepal Institutional School Teachers’ Union, Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation Nepal, District Education Officer and other stakeholders at Little Angles School ended inconclusively.


Indra Raj Bhattarai, central vice president of ISTU, told The Himalayan Times, “Though today’s meeting ended inconclusively, we are optimistic that the talks to be held tomorrow would help sort out the issue.”


Some representatives of ISTU submitted a memorandum to DoE to end all kinds of exploitation of teachers. The teachers from the All Nepal Teachers’ Organisation and members of ISTU submitted a memorandum to Education Minister Renu Kumari Yadav, demanding that the agreement signed between the teachers, schools and government be implemented.
