Japanese minister in City
Kathmandu, July 31:
Japanese Senior Vice-Minister for Defence Takahide Kimura arrived here on a three-day visit today.
Soon after his arrival, Kimura met Minister for Foreign Affairs Sahana Pradhan at Shital Niwas and discussed the ongoing peace process in Nepal.
Pradhan urged Kimura to invest in hydropower development in Nepal.
Kimura was also urged to help Nepal’s tourism development. Kimura identified “security” as a major concern of Japan while investing in Nepal. He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Thursday before leaving on the same day.
