KATHMANDU: Japanese Embassy in Nepal celebrated its National Day on the auspicious occasion of Emperor Akihito’s 82nd birthday on Friday. His birthday, December 23, is also observed as the National Day. Japanese Ambassador Masashi Ogawa hosted a reception at his residence in Tahachal, Kathmandu to mark the day. Nearly four hundred dignitaries, including Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun, ministers, ambassadors and heads of international organizations in Nepal, lawmakers and high ranking government officials attended the function.
