KATHMANDU, JUNE 19
The Central Zoo at Jawalakhel has been closed indefinitely after bird flu infections were detected among animals inside the facility.
In a notice issued on Friday, the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) said the zoo would remain closed from June 19, until further notice.
The closure was ordered as a precautionary measure to safeguard public health and safety.
The zoo administration expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to visitors and thanked the public for their understanding.
