KATHMANDU, AUGUST 3

The Kathmandu District Administration Office has warned all to steer clear of activities that go against Covid-19 safety protocol.

Issuing a notice today, Kathmandu DAO urged the district residents to not take part in gatherings that may lead to overcrowding such as protests, rallies, conventions, meetings, in the capital.

As the Prohibitory order is still in force in Kathmandu Valley, the DAO has reissued a reminder to all to wear masks properly, maintain a safe distance and not engage in unmanaged activities in public that are likely to inflate the infection rate, thus triggering the onset of a third wave of coronavirus pandemic.

Therefore, any disregard of health protocols will be dealt with strict action according to the relevant laws, the Kathmandu DAO warned.

As the infection rate is increasing in the various district including Kathmandu valley, and the emergency service providers (ICU and ventilators) are under pressure owing to another episode of influx of Covid patients, the district officials have urged all to act responsibly and act accordingly to help control the spread of infection.
