Kathmandu Bar on warpath
Kathmandu, August 1:
The Kathmandu District Court Bar Association today announced protest programmes against the Kathmandu District Court. The Bar accused the court leadership of not keeping its promise of providing land for the construction of a bar building.
The Bar said it would halt work at the KDC from 10 am to 12 am on Sunday and boycott the function of laying down the foundation stone of a KDC building on Monday.
The bar body has threatened to launch a decisive protest if the KDC did not provide it land.
Issuing a press release, Bar unit president Ganesh Prasad Adhikari and secretary Hari Prasad Paudel accused the KDC leadership of fuelling a confrontation between the Bar and the court.
