KATHMANDU, APRIL 25
District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have halted all non-emergency services for a week, starting Monday.
The three Chief District Officers of the respective DAOs decided to enforce the regulation after a meeting held today to discuss the mechanisms to control the rapid spread of Covid-19 in the valley.
The notice issued by Kathmandu DAO claimed that some of its staffers have contracted the disease and have to isolate at home as contact tracing is being conducted. To prevent the infection from being spread to the service seekers, the office has been shut down till Monday, Baisakh 20.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu DAO has urged those coming to the office for emergency services (peace and security related applications and court files related works; and other works related to important recommendation) to follow the health guidelines and not to create a crowd.
