Kathmandu valley logs 154 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday

KATHMANDU: The three districts of Kathmandu valley logged 154 additional cases of coronavirus infection, on Saturday.

Kathmandu district alone witnessed 124 cases of infection while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 25 and five cases, respectively.

At present, there are 2,963 active Covid-19 cases in Kathmandu while the number of same in Lalitpur is 373 while that in Bhaktapur is 175.

As many as 473 people have lost their lives to Covid-19 in Kathmandu. Likewise, 146 fatalities have been reported in Lalitpur and 106 in Bhaktapur, so far.

Meanwhile, the total number of people who have recovered from the disease in Kathmandu is 94,012 while 14,785 have recovered in Lalitpur and 8,626 in Bhaktapur.

Today, 419 new cases of coronavirus infection surfaced in the country following which the nationwide Covid-19 tally has reached 261,438. Six fatalities have been reported in the last 24 hours with which the nationwide death-toll from the disease has advanced to 1,870.

Kathmandu is the only district with over 500 active cases in the country. On the contrary, Mugu is the only district with zero live infections as of today.
