57 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Kathmandu, 5 in Lalitpur, and 3 in Bhaktapur

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 2

Kathmandu valley recorded 65 additional cases of the coronavirus infection, on Tuesday.

Of the newly infected persons, 24 are females while 41 are males.

Kathmandu district alone witnessed 57 cases of Covid-19. Lalitpur reported five new cases while Bhaktapur logged three cases, today. At present, there are 1,432 active Covid-19 cases in Kathmandu while number of the same in Lalitpur is 68 and that in Bhaktapur is 14.

499 people have succumbed to the contagion in Kathmandu while 160 fatalities have been reported in Lalitpur and 115 in Bhaktapur, so far.

Meanwhile, total number of people who have recovered from the disease in Kathmandu is 99,638 while 15,812 people have recovered in Lalitpur, and 9,096 in Bhaktapur.

Today, 171 new cases of Covid-19 surfaced in the country following which the nationwide Covid-19 tally has reached 271,289.

The nationwide death-toll has advanced to 2,030 with one Covid-related fatality logged today.

Kathmandu is the only district with over 500 active cases in the country. On the contrary, Bhojpur, Kalikot, Rukum West, and Mugu are the four districts with zero live infections, as of today.
