Kendriya Vidyalaya, Embassy of India hosted a Bharatnatyam workshop by Priyambada Tiwari under the Routes 2 Roots programme.
An expert in Bharatnatyam, Tiwari has been adorned with many awards, the most noted being the first position in the 63rd All India Natya and Nritya Competition award, former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Awantika Award, the Internation Women's Day Award.
The programme commenced with a 'Khaada Welcome' and a welcome speech by Principal AP Vinod Kumar. The different mudras were expatiated and presented by Priyambada Tiwari. Following this, she presented renditions of Hindi Bhajans and with her Bharatnatyam feats, she left the audience spellbound.
The dance performance was followed by an interactive session wherein all the queries of the students were taken up.
