Kathmandu, August 7:

King Gyanendra has sent a message of felicitations to President of Colombia, Dr Alvaro Uribe Velez, on re-assumption of the office of the president of Colombia.

In a message of congratulations, the King extended best wishes to President for his success while expressing confidence that the friendly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened during his tenure.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today sent a congratulatory message to President of Colombia on his re-assumption of the high office of the President of Colombia on his behalf as well as on the behalf of the Government of Nepal, Nepalese people.

In a congratulatory message, Prime Minister Koirala has expressed his confidence that the friendly ties existing between the two countries will be further strengthened in the days ahead and extended his best wishes for his good health and success during his tenure.
