Rastriya Samachar Samiti
Kathmandu, February 20
Minister for Information and Communications Kamal Thapa has clarified that there is
no additional financial burden for the government in the programmes organised to offer civic felicitations to the King and Queen in the course of their visit to the mid-western region.
The civic felicitation programmes held at different parts of the region are the spontaneous and spirited expression of affection of the local people for their beloved King and Queen and deep-rooted faith in the monarchy, Minister Thapa, who is also the spokesperson for the government, stated in a press release issued here today.
The charges that the government has spent a huge amount of money in the civic
felicitation celebrations is illusive and baseless, the release further states.
