KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) could not collect a single paisa in revenue under the entertainment category in the last fiscal year 2016/17.

The municipal office had collected Rs 8,000 in the preceding fiscal year. The KMC repeatedly called on the entertainment entrepreneurs to submit their taxes but in vain.

The KMC also could not initiate legal action for the tax evaders due to which it failed to draw the revenue, KMC's Revenue Division Chief Dhurba Kafle shared.
