KOICA constructs temporary houses for quake victims in Kavre
KATHMANDU: Volunteers and members of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Nepal constructed few temporary houses for quake victims in Bolde of Kavre on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the KOICA Nepal, volunteers and members of the KOICA Alumni Association of Nepal (KAAN) and KOICA headquarters in coordination with the Kathmandu University visited the area, constructed the houses and helped the locals to clear the debris of their shattered houses.
The KOICA Nepal had collected some funds with an aim to support the victims of the devastating earthquakes that struck Nepal on April 25 and May 12, the statement read.
Though their movement cannot include all the survivors, they hope that to make bigger changes through their small movements.
Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Kim Hyungkyoo, Vice Chancellor of the Kathmandu University Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju, KOICA staff and members of the KOICA Alumni Association of Nepal (KAAN) took part in the voluntary work.
