Korea donates heavy equipment
KATHMANDU, July 29
The Korean Government handed over 27 equipment to the Government of Nepal amid a function organised at Nepal Police Club, Bhrikutimandap, on Wednesday.
Of them, 24 are heavy equipment, including Doosan DX225LCB Hydraulic Excavator (10 units), Doosan Wheel Loader SD310 (6 units), Bobcat S450 Skid-Steer Loader (4 units) and Bobcat E32 Compact Mini Excavator (4 units).
Joining hands with Nepal for the reconstruction efforts towards ‘Resilient Nepal’, the Korean Government on May 20 had decided to provide 10 million dollars aid assistance. Under this aid assistance, 24 heavy equipment were provided to the Government of Nepal through Korea International Cooperation Agency for initial recovery phase to remove and clean debris in earthquake-affected zones.
In addition, Doosan Infracore, a Korean fifth largest construction equipment manufacturer in the world, has also contributed three equipment — Doosan DX225LCB Hydraulic Excavator (1 unit), Bobcat E32 Compact Mini Excavator
(1 unit) and Bobcat S450 Skid-Steer Loader (1 unit) to the Government of Nepal.
