The Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) was officially inaugurated today in Lalitpur, aiming to simplify and enhance the visa application process for Nepali residents traveling to the Republic of Korea.
The ceremony was attended by Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Tae-young, HanaTour CEO Song Mi-sun, officials from Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives from local business communities.
Operated by HanaTour, the KVAC responds to a growing demand for Korean visas fueled by increased bilateral exchanges. The center, strategically located at the OneSky Building, extends application hours until 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and offers telephone consultation until 9:00 p.m. Facilities include computer workstations, a VIP room, SMS tracking, courier services, and a pre-reservation system to ensure efficient service.
"HanaTour brings three decades of global experience in visa services and is committed to providing convenient and reliable services for Nepali applicants," said CEO Song Mi-sun. A KVAC representative added that the center's services will strengthen economic exchanges and private-sector diplomacy between the two countries.
The KVAC will begin operations on December 17, marking a significant step in facilitating travel and promoting people-to-people connectivity between Nepal and Korea.
