KATHMANDU: Property worth more than Rs 30 million was gutted when a fire broke out at a local store near Nabil Bank in Nayabasti of Kuleshwor, on Sunday evening.

According to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, a short circuit in a cosmetic shop had caused the fire at around 8:30 pm last night.

Police said that as many as 27 shops were partially damaged in the fire.

Police informed that there was no human casualty.

The fire was extinguished after two hours by police and locals with the help of six fire engines and four water tankers.
