Kathmandu, February 14:

Litterateur Dr Benju Sharma today inaugurated a love letter writing contest organised by Sahitya Abhiyan Samuha (SAS) of Tri-Chandra College here.

Opening the programme, Dr Sharma recited a poem on love. Some 155 students participated in the contest. Of these, 35 wrote love letters in English. Contestants were given an hour’s time.

SAS president Nabin Khanal said one lecturer each from the Nepali and English departments would adjudge the best letters. During the inaugural function, the winners of the last year’s

competition lauded the importance of such programmes. Over half-a-dozen business houses provided various prizes including attractive gift hampers and discounts by a number of educational institutions.
