Landgren denies UNMIN interference
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal during an hour long meeting with UNMIN chief Karin Landgren on Thursday morning asked the latter to understand the problems that the country was facing during its transitional phase, informed PM's press advisor Bishnu Rijal.
During the meeting which was held at the PM's residence, Baluwatar the duo discussed the peace process and the meeting of the Security Council held at New York among others. The PM also expressed his concerns on the UNMIN's report which was vehemently criticised by the ruling allies saying it interfered in the internal matters of the country. The NC even demanded clarifications from UNMIN earlier. In response Langren made it clear that the UNMIN was not interfering in the internal political matters of Nepal.
Langren is leaving for Switzerland today.
