KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has been appointed as the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Former Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang resigned from his post after his statement on female MBBS students in Bangladesh attracted heavy criticism from all sectors.

Similarly, State Minister Padma Aryal has been alleviated to the post of Minister for Land Management and Poverty Alleviation.

Likewise, Dr Surendra Yadav from Federal Socialist Forum Nepal has been appointed the State Minister for Health.

The ministers will be administered the oath of office at 4:30 pm today.
