KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24
LCCI Global Qualifications has successfully concluded a cultural and student mobility program in Nepal for the business management students of Forth Valley College, Scotland. The program took place from January 31 to February 17.
This initiative aimed to enhance the cultural and business understanding between students of Scotland and Nepal through international collaboration and exchange of best practices. The student mobility program facilitated knowledge-sharing and professional development among business students and industry experts, specifically in Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara.
The main objective was to strengthen business skills, soft skills and cultural understanding between two countries by providing hands-on training, skill enhancement, and exposure to Scottish students. Most of the sessions were conducted through field visit and hands on experience by understanding business model. Nepalese students from the Bachelor in Business Administration and Bachelor in Hospitality Management Students from AITM College took active participation to make the program engaging. Students from both Scotland and Nepal had the opportunity to understand business model for a programme called Early Genius, which is developed by LCCI Global Qualifications.
Scottish Students were excited to see the phenomenal scope of growth for SME's in Nepal and how resilient Nepalese entrepreneurs are. Students got to participate in case study discussions, field visit, interaction with Nepalese business enterprises and solve real problems. During the 3 week expeditions students also learnt soft skills as well as business and entrepreneurial skills.
During the closing ceremony students from Scotland and Nepal came together to put up a summary of their learning during the expedition. The main highlight of the closing ceremony was the cultural performance put together by students from both Scotland and Nepal which was much appriciated by a larger audience. This mobility program was the second batch hosted by LCCI Global Qualifications for Forth Valley College Students. The mobility program was supported by the UK Government's Turing scheme.
Diwas Yonzon head of Partnerships of LCCI Global Qualifications said that such student's mobility program strengthens people to people relations between Nepal and the UK. We are collaborating with few other UK institutions to bring more students to Nepal for cultural exchange. Such programmes boost academic experience for students of both the countries through cross cultural learning.
