Leaders want ‘inclusive’ polls
Kathmandu, November 22:
Leaders of political parties today said constituent assembly polls should be held on the basis of proportionate participation of all sections of the society.
Speaking at an interaction, NC (D) leader Dr Minendra Rizal said the state should be restructured to address issues of Janajatis and women.
Leader of NSP(A) Sarita Giri said that since the mixed electoral system is defective, there will be complaints in the future.
CP Mainali of the United Left Front said all indigenous communities should be given equal opportunity in the electoral process.
Ek Raj Bhandari, a representative of the Maoists, said all sections of the society must be included in the election process.
