Light aftershock recorded after 7 days, epicentre in Dolakha
KATHMANDU: A light tremor was felt in Dolakha district on Monday.
According to the National Seismological Centre, Lainchaur, the aftershock of the April 25 earthquake was of local magnitude 4.0 and was recorded at 7:27 am. The epicentre was at Gaurishankar Conservation Area.
It was the first significant aftershock that the NSC recorded after seven days, said Lok Bijay Adhikari, Chief of National Seismological Centre.
The coordinates of the centre are 27.86°N, 86.19°E.
The last aftershock was recorded at 6:10 am on November 30, with its epicentre at Kathmandu
Meanwhile, the number of aftershocks of April 25 of local magnitude 4.0 or above has reached 417, according to the NSC.
