Load shedding hours slashed by one hour per day

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Friday slashed load shedding hours by one hour a day.

Earlier, the power outage was effective for 11 hours a day.

Now the power outage time reduced to 70 hours a week, households see 10 hours of darkness in a day on an average.

With the surge in water level in rivers due to rainfall, the NEA had decided to cut down the load shedding hours.
