Lok Man Singh Karki urges govt to release abusers

KATHMANDU: The suspended chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Lok Man Singh Karki on Friday appealed that those who manhandled him on the Supreme Court premises be released.

Posting an appeal on his Facebook page, Karki said the abusers were innocent and they were mobilised by someone behind the curtains.

"As those who have been making conspiracies against me for last few months are unlikely to be brought to the jurisdiction of law and police immediately," Karki said, "I request the security agency to release the innocent followers without taking any action."

Earlier, on Thursday, Karki was smeared black soot while he was at the apex court to attend a hearing on a writ filed against his appointment at the anti-corruption constitutional body.

Police subsequently had arrested two persons in connection to the case.
