Madhav Nepal criticises govt, NC-Maoist alliance at House

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Saturday criticised the government.

Speaking at the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today, he said that the government was moving on the basis of groupism rather than institutionally.

The former Prime Minister, however, said that the Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Centre had registered a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in a hurry.

Stating that the national consensus government was the need of the hour to resolve the existing crisis, he said that the decision of the Maoist Centre to leave the government was unfortunate.

Meanwhile, CPN Maoist Centre leader Haribol Gajurel accused the Prime Minister of ignoring the demands of his party.

Though the party had expressed its concerns in writing regarding the enforcement of Constitution, Madhes agitation, social justice, peace process and the post- earthquake reconstruction, the Prime Minister did not feel it necessary to address them, he said.
