The Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal, led by Rajendra Mahato, was registered with the Election Commission (EC) today.
Anil Mahaseth, the party's leader, told the Himalayan Times that the Election Commission registered the party and issued the registration certificate on Tuesday.
The party's election symbol is a cooking cylinder with a dark blue rectangular flag featuring a bow and arrow in the centre.
According to the certificate provided by the Election Commission, the party's registration number is 201.
On September 17, last year, Mahato announced the formation of the Rastriya Mukti Kranti Party.
On October 25, he filed an application with the Election Commission to register a new party called Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal, which he would chair.
Mahato has urged people to actively participate in the party by becoming members, as the party will move forward based on the guiding principles of patriotism, pluralism, and community socialism.
