KATHMANDU: Maldivian Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon today extended a warm welcome and congratulations to the people of Nepal on the adoption of the new constitution.

In a statement, Foreign Minister Maumoon termed the charter as the “first democratic constitution” promulgated by the Constituent Assembly of Nepal.

“With the definitive constitutional course taken, I hope that Nepal will now be able to move forward in the quest for peace, economic development and prosperity of the nation,” she said in a statement.
