Man hurt in Thamel shootout
Kathmandu, April 11:
Forty-year-old Basanta Maharjan was injured when a bullet hit him on his right armpit at Thamel this morning, police said.
Maharjan, an accountant at the Lokhit lower secondary school at Thamel, was on his way to Kalimati to bring vegetables when a bullet coming from an unknown area hit him. The police said nobody heard the sound of the bullet. The incident occurred at around 8:15 am. Maharjan is undergoing treatment at the Manamohan Memorial Hospital at Thamel and his condition is reported to be critical. “Investigation is on,” SP Dhak Bahadur Karki at the Metropolitan Police Range in Hanumandhoka said.
