Maoists against peace accord: PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Saturday alleged that the Maoists had violated the peace accord by declaring the country as a autonomous republican state going against the Constitutional Assembly.

Inaugurating an assembly organised by women journalists in Kathmandu he said that the Maoists would be responsible for failure to draft the constitution on time.

Meanwhile he assured that the culprits involved in the case of journalist Tika Bista and the policewoman who was raped in Accham would be punished.
