KATHMANDU: Cadres affiliated to UCPN-Maoist staged a sit-in protest on Thursday at the north gate of Singha Durbar demanding the formation of a high level committee to probe the death of YCL cadre Rajendra Phuyal.

Maoists are demanding proper compensation for the death and punishment for the culprits. They have been staging sit-in protests everyday for two hours since Wednesday. They warned of shutting down the capital on Saturday if their demands were not met by Friday.
