Media entrepreneurs call on CA Chair
KATHMANDU: Representatives of Media Society Nepal and other entrepreneurs have urged the Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Nembang to ensure complete press freedom and environment conducive for running the industries freely.
Media Society Chair Kailash Sirohiya and General Secretary Shuva Shankar Kandel today submitted a ten-point memorandum to the CA chair Nembang.
They have urged for amending provisions under Article 22 and 24 of the draft constitution, arguing that they are against full press freedom.
Similarly, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Pashupati Muraraka among others also called on CA Chair Nembang today and urged to remove the provision of double taxation with implementation of federalism in the new constitution.
