Sanskrit scholar Janardan Ghimire no more

KATHMANDU: Journalist and Sanskrit scholar Janardan Ghimire, who was injured in a bus accident at Khadichaur of Sindhupalchwok last Thursday, passed away this morning. He was 48.

Ghimire suffered rib injuries and breathed his last in course of treatment at the Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre today, said Arun Kumar Pandey, Secretary at Rastriya Dharmasabha Nepal.

Sanskrit Scholar Ghimire along with his family members was on his way to his home district Dolakha from the Capital to cast votes in the local level elections when the incident happened.

Following the accident, Ghimire was brought to the Hospital for treatment.

Ghimire was a programme presenter at the Radio Kantipur FM.

He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
