KATHMANDU: A student of the Tri Chandra Multiple Campus died after he was knocked down by a micro bus at Ghantaghar on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Namgyal Sherpa of Okhaldhunga. He was a B.Sc. first year student at the Campus.

Following the incident, students of the Campus set the micro bus on fire and beat up the driver.

The incident took place when Sherpa was coming out of the Campus.

He was rushed to the Kathmandu Model Hospital in Bagbazaar but breathed his last during the course of treatment, police said.

The incident also led to a clash between the agitated students and police. Several students have been reported injured in the clash.
