Minister Gyawali off to Portugal

Kathmandu, July 23

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali left for Portugal today on an official visit at the invitation of his Portuguese counterpart Augusto Santos Silva.

Gyawali is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with Silva on July 25. Following his two-day stay in Lisbon, minister Gyawali will visit Belgium and Luxembourg.

On July 26, he is scheduled to meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belgium Didier Reynders in Brussels. The same day, he will address a talk programme titled ‘Nepal’s Key National Agenda: Sustaining Political Gains through Socio-Economic Transformation’ hosted jointly by the Embassy of Nepal in Brussels and the European Institute for Asian Studies, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

He is also scheduled to address the Regional Conference of Nepali Ambassadors based in Europe on July 28 in Brussels. The following day, Gyawali will address the inauguration ceremony of the 11th European Regional Meeting of Non-Resident Nepalese Association in Luxembourg.

Gyawali will hold a meeting with Romain Schneider, minister for development cooperation and humanitarian affairs of Luxembourg.
