MISAA constructs houses, community building for quake victims

KATHMANDU: Modern Indian School Alumni Association (MISAA), a group of graduates from Chobar-based Modern Indian School has constructed few houses and a community building for the earthquake victims of Taarkhal of Bhaktapur.

Ranjit Rae, Indian ambassador to Nepal recently inaugurated the houses and building prepared by MISAA at the cost of Rs 2 million.

Sanjaya Bagariya, president of MISAA today said that the houses were build as part of their campaign ‘Tribute to Humanity’.

He said that the houses were handed over to individual victims and their family while the community building was handed over to the municipality.

“The municipality can use the building for various purposes such as to conduct religious and cultural programme as well as to celebrate various festivals,” he added, “Not only today’s generation but future generation can also take advantage of the building.”

Former students such as Pawan Surana, Amit Begani and Rakesh Adukiya have special contribution in construction of the houses and community building.
