MoF gives details of supplementary budget
Kathmandu, January 8:
The cabinet has taken different decisions on January 4 on presenting supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2064/65 BS, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) said in a press release today.
It has been decided that Rs three billion should be added in estimated expenditure for providing loan to NOC in order to disburse its amount payable to the IOC. It has been decided to authorise the MoF to transfer any amount from surplus or frozen amount of any nature (recurrent, capital and principal and interest repayment) under any heading or entity by not exceeding the net budget boundary which will be derived from adding expenditure. Such expenditure would be needed for the implementation of the recent 23-point political pact.
Expenditure would also be needed to hold the CA polls without any obstruction, estimated expenditure under Appropriation Act.
It has been decided to amend to National Loan Raising Act 2064 BS to raise additional internal loan amount that is proposed for loan investment in the NOC, to mobilise additional revenues and by controlling leakages. It has been decided to take overdraft as provided by prevailing laws if amount for additional expenditure falls short even after the mobilisation of foreign assistance, adjustment to tax rate and raising internal loan.
