MoFA works on PM trip
KATHMANDU: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has started preparation for Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal’s upcoming visit to China.
The PM is embarking on a week-long official visit of the northern neighbour on December 26. After returning from Copenhagen, PM Nepal will be at home only for a week ahead of the visit. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Qui Guohong today met Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala at the latter’s office in Narayanhiti Palace in connection with the premier’s trip.
According to the MoFA, the duo discussed the agenda of the visit. Envoy Qui also consulted with other officials at the ministry. MoFA has also consulted with secretaries of other ministries in order to prepare the agenda. However, officials say various projects that China is considering to launch in Nepal top the agenda during the PM’s visit.
