Kathmandu, December 8

Multipurpose Women Centre at Dharamsthali-13, Tarkeshwor Municipality, Kathmandu was officially inaugurated on Tuesday amid a programme.

The women centre aims to benefit a total of 250 women earthquake survivors.

During the programme, local stakeholders were given brief outlook on the holistic efforts taken by Women for Human Right, Single Women Group for the welfare of the earthquake survivors.

Executive Director of WHR Lily Thapa, former president of WHR Chandrika Bhattarai, Former President of WHR, General Secretary of WHR Kunda Sharma, Uddhav Raj Timilsina of Tarkeshwor Municipality, Chief of Women and Children Office Anita Adhikari, Laxmi Nath Timilsina of Local Disaster Management Committee, and other members of the community were present during the programme.

The event was facilitated by WHR in collaboration with UN Women.
