Kathmandu, March 23:

Kathmandu district court today granted Kathmandu district police office permission to keep Bhim Prasad Adhikari in police custody for a week.

Police arrested Adhikari with stolen Rs 25,000 in connection with the murder of Ram Bahadur Dangi, a security guard at Nanglo Restaurant, and looting of over Rs 375,000 from the restaurant, on March 19.

“Based on Adhikari’s interrogation, there must have been three to four persons involved in the murder and robbery,” DSP Hari Bahadur Pal said. However, the others are yet to be nabbed.

Adhikari was a private security guard posted in a adjoining house. Police said the looters used knife to murder Dangi.

Gopal Kakshyapati, managing director of the restaurant, couldn’t be contacted for comments despite attempts since March 19.
